December

Wow, I can hardly believe 2015 is already over. It always takes a while to sink in...
This last month of 2015 was a month full of family and God's provision.
I was on Maui almost all of the month spending time with my brother, sister and their families. It has been a blessing spending time with family! I had missed them a lot.
I also got to get plugged back in at Calvary Chapel Central Maui for the time I was on island. I helped in the children's ministry by filling any holes in the schedule. I love these kids, it was a huge blessing to be with them again. My last Wednesday night at church I went in with the kids. They had a huge surprise! People had donated new toys to the church! So some of the ladies hand picked a couple presents for the kids and wrapped them up. All the kids had to close their eyes as the gifts were placed behind them. When the opened their eyes, the looked behind them and found a couple wrapped presents! They all loved it and were so thankful.
The Lord really showed His love and provision through the people of the church- the body of Christ. Seriously, my mind was blown by the love and aloha I received from my Calvary Chapel Central Maui family :) I am so thankful for each one of them and their prayers!
I had the privilege of spending three days in California before I headed to Guatemala. I arrived early on the Sunday after Christmas and got to go to church. Not many people knew I was coming so it was fun to surprise them! It is always so great to visit Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano whenever I can! It's family to me. I was so blessed to be able to see everyone even though it was a short visit.
I got on a plane on Tuesday and arrived in Guatemala on Wednesday night. It was a long time of traveling (I had a 16 hour layover), but it was well worth it!
I got to spend New Year's Eve in Guatemala with  everyone here! Including my parents and brother who I missed so much!!! Walking through the streets of Antigua, I saw a bunch of familiar faces and friends. The roads and parks are flooded with people for the holiday. It's pretty nuts. But seeing each pair of eyes, I remember why I am back. I am so ready to serve and share the love of Jesus. This is going to be a great year! I am coming to find that each year walking with the Lord is better than the last. And I know that God is going to blow me away with 2016. As wonderful as 2015 was, I know God is going to go above and beyond! I am so excited.
Prayer requests:
-Well, I somehow found a way to hurt my ankle haha. I woke up with it swollen so I am praying for healing. It's nothing too serious, but it's just hard to work limping around.
-We have a medical team arriving January 2nd! Pray for them and all those who are going to be helping with medical outreaches the first week of January! I am going to be pretty involved.
-The new IGNITE class will be arriving here shortly! I am an RA, in charge of a couple girls in my room and involved by teaching a media class once a week.
-School will be starting soon! Pray for Lydia and I as we get to go back to the 3 schools and teach our second year of english with these wonderful children! Also the current team Guatemala here will be teaching for the first time in 4 other schools.
-I will be taking a short trip to Costa Rica mid January for a friends wedding. Please pray for safe travels and a blessing over the bride and groom!
