Update

So it's already mid May.
How did this happen?

I've been back here in Guatemala for about 4 months now.
Everything is going great- super busy but amazing!

The main thing I do is work in the public schools 3 days a week.

I have 300+ students from kindergarten to sixth grade.
I go in and have about 45 minutes with each class. I walk in and say, "Good morning class," and they respond, "Good morning Quincey."
Then I ask who wants to pray and I see their hands go up and they scream "Yo, Yo, Yo!"

After we pray, I read a bible lesson in Spanish to them and we talk about it.
We started with creation and are going through the Old Testament right now.
After the story, we go right into our English lesson for that day and end with our memory verse in English and Spanish.

The kids are all doing really great! It's awesome to see them grow and learn and be excited to learn.
One of the coolest things is knowing that I am going to be with them for the whole school year. I get to build relationships with these kids in the class room and outside of it.
Every Wednesday we have Kid's Club here on the property. And we invite our students to come. Some of the schools are farther than others but we do have one that is pretty close. We try to walk the kids who want to come on Wednesdays. It's such a fun time of just getting to know them and showing them the love of Christ.

Speaking of Kid's Club...

It's one of my favorite times of the week! The new Ignite interns of class 8 are in charge. They plan it every week so I just get to show up and help in any way but mainly just play with the kids and hang out. It is awesome to see the kids that have been coming since I was here last year & all the new faces. Every week we have lunch for them, play games, have kids worship, and a bible story. Also, the moms have a bible study that goes on at the same time. It's growing so much! All glory to God for that!

Some girls & I at church on Sunday
Calvary Chapel Antigua is the church here on property. We have our Sunday services every week and I have the privilege of helping in kids ministry with worship and even translating (its scary :/ haha).  God is doing a work here in the body and I am so blessed to be a part of it.
The "youth group crew" hanging out.
The service on Sunday is bilingual but on Wednesday nights we have Spanish church. I go to it every week and LOVE it.
It helps me learn so much Spanish and from the Word of God too.
We also have youth group on Friday nights which are like my favorite ever! I always loves jr. high so I fit right in :) It's a small group of us who meet together, go through the Word, worship, play games and just hang out.

Those are the main things that happen here on a weekly basis.
It gets pretty busy here but we love it.

Please pray:
-For me to continue to rely on the Lord in everything.
-For my health, that God would continue to protect me. I have been having sinus issues and infections but God is good and I'm doing a lot better.
-For me and the other English teachers here to have boldness to proclaim the gospel in the schools and wherever else the Lord takes us.
-For the church as a whole to be strengthened and for God to rise up servants as it is growing.

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah." Psalm 68:19
